Meta Week: Z-Mech Suicide Squad! (Valkyrie deck)

Z-Mech, as cool as he looks, is considered the WORST Zombie Hero by far. Having no hard removal, he has a big disavantage late game. There are decks that work, like this one.

With this deck you are purposely defeating your own zombies to buff Valkyrie. Its rather hard for the plants to deal with decks where zombies are being purposely defeated. With Valkyrie and Zombie King you can secure victory early on.

X4 Arm Wrestler: Your best turn 1 play. Will deny a lane early on and get rid of any removal cards your opponent may have due to how dangerous it can be.

X4 Bungee Plumber: Small removal. Great early on.

X4 Barrel Of Deadbeards: Great for defeating our zombies, and the barrel being destroyed COUNTS as a zombie being destroyed as well. Great crowd control.

X3 Conehead: Great turn 2 2 or 1 attack removal.

X3 Newspaper Zombie: With Fireworks Zombie and Barrel Of Deadbeards he will get alot of attack pts.

X4 Fireworks Zombie: Will defeat our zombies easily. Another great crowd control card.

X3 Jester: With our self damage cards, we can do alot of damage using him.

X4 Valkyrie: Will be kept on our hand until we can use her either to finish the game or to remove something with alot of HP. With 0 attack can be used to transform into a Knight Of The Living Dead.

X3 Weed Spray: Will be a great early game group removal.

X3 Medic: Will heal up any zombie or face.

X2 The Chickening: Great group removal for turn 4 and onwards.

X1 Zombie King: Can transform any weak zombie into powerhouses. Can be used as another win condition.

X2 Imp-Throwing Imp: With the Swabbies it spawns, it will boost Valkyrie and make more KOTLD for us and overwhelm very quickly.

Our next hero is the queen of flowers... Rose!

Meta Week: Pineclone Aggro Nightcap!

As the single player campaign says, Nightcap likes his games quick and fast. Most decks are aggro based, but some are more Control based. This deck used Mushrooms and Pineclone to devastate the opponent by overwhelming!

This game starts aggro, and stays aggro for the rest of the game. Place all of your shrooms and Team-Up plants, and once you have 2 or more plants, its Pineclone time! Jumping Bean bounces any dangerous or buffed up zombie, and Grapes Of Wrath finishes the hero up in case your Pineclones dont win you the game.

X2 Poison Mushroom: A great turn 1 starter. Will help to set up Pineclone later or block a big threat.

X2 Shellery: An amazing Team-Up card that can take out any zombie with 2 health or less early on, and be a great plant to transform.

X4 Shroom For Two: A great card to transform into Pineclone. Its just amazing at almost anything.

X4 Berry Blast: Great removal card early on, and possible finisher.

X4 Buff Shroom: Great for buffing all your Shrooms.

X4 Wild Berry: Great damage dealer early on, and also to transform into Pineclone.

X4 Punish Shroom: As the name says, it will "Punish" your opponent for defeating all your mushrooms. It can be used to control Crazy heroes on turn 4 if you have alot of Shrooms on the board.

X4 Rescue Radish: Can return cards like Shroom For Two, Pineclone, Jumping Bean, Buff Shroom, or Bean Counter to re-use their effects.

X2 Bean Counter: The Weenie Beenies it provides can be transformed into Pineclone.

X4 Pineclone: Will transform all of our plants on the board. Amazing, but should only be used with 2 or more plants on the board, which is easy to do.

X2 Jumping Bean: Will bounce any buffed or dangerous zombie back.

X4 Grapes Of Wrath: Big finisher in case your Pineclones didnt finish the zombie hero yet, and great control card as well.

One major weakness of this deck is... Weed Spray. Be really careful and play your card correctly to avoid Weed Spray.

Our next hero is the big imp with a big metallic body... Z-Mech!

Meta Week: Immorticia Trickster Deck!

With a huge bag of tricks up her sleeves, Immorticia is great at control. Most of her decks involve Science, Pets or Paparazzi Zombie. This deck is more different however: Trickster Control.

With this deck you control the early game, while buffing your Paparazzi Zombie and Mad Chemist. Mad Chemist and Zombie Yeti provide the tricks to buff Paparazzi or any zombie, while Trickster´s cost reduces while in your hand, then you teleport him in for the win!

X4 Nibble: Extra healing and small removal. Pair this on Turn 2 with Paparazzi and it wont be destroyed that turn!

X4 Paparazzi Zombie: He will be one of your main damage dealers. Having alot of tricks on this deck, alongside Mad Chemist providing some more, he will grow alot and the opponent will have some trouble defeating him if they arent prepared, plus any tricks you play buff him and lower the cost of Trickster.

X3 Teleport: Used to teleport in Trickster, or other zombies to either defeat a dangerous plant, or heal up with Nurse Gargantuar.

X3 Beam Me Up: One good removal card on turn 2. Save it to take out 2 or less HP plants.

X2 Lurch For Lunch: Will come in handy to remove a plant, or to finish the game if need be.

X4 Fun-Dead Raiser: Main card draw on the deck.

X3 Gentleman Zombie: Giving free brains every trick phase, will come in handy to use more tricks every turn. Is a good candidate to teleport in as well, and its gravestone can block a hit.

X3 Rocket Science: To defeat any big plant that may cause trouble.

X3 Zombie Yeti: With the Yeti Lunchbox it provides, it can buff up our zombies, while also decreasing Tricksters cost! Recommended to keep alive.

X2 Mad Chemist: Will give out a trick every turn if we play a trick. Will come in handy.

X2 Locust Swarm: Your big removal card. Use them wisely.

X2 Hail-a-Copter: Can finish the game, remove a card or apply pressure if need be. Its just a must in almost all Brainy decks.

X2 Nurse Gargantuar: Can save you if needed and heal ya up for a good amount. Another recommended target to teleport.

X4 Trickster: Your main teleport target. He will finish the game. Recommended to mulligan for it at the start of the game.

Our next hero is the masked ranger (maybe) of shrooms... Night Cap!

Meta Week: Beets & Nuts Grass Knuckles!

Grass Knuckles is well known for being either aggro or defensive, with Tempo, Aggro or Mixed decks. This deck combines the nut tribe with the big damage of the Beet plants.

With this deck you are looking to start defensively, and proceed offensively with your Beet plants, Bananasaurus Rex and Mirror Nut.

X4 Wall-nut: One of your tanking nuts used to defend a lane and receive damage to trigger the Mirror-Nut.

X2 Grave Buster: Your grave removal.

X4 Jugger-Nut: the perfect 1/1 and 2/2 zombie removal. Usually use it to keep cleaning lanes from trash you don’t want there. The prioritiy is to let the enemy play the trash on the Wallnut or Chestnut lane.

X2 Pismashio: Usually played at the back of Wallnuts or just to absorb some damage if the Mirror Nut has been already played.

X4 Water Chestnut: One of your tanking nuts used to defend a lane and receive damage to trigger the Mirror Nut. Can also tank the amphibious lane.

X2 Flourish: Your draw trick. Use it only if really necesary. If the match is going well save it to buff the Bananasaurus.

X2 Muscle Sprout: This plant has a lot of sinergy in this deck. It can get really big while you just play walls and it will help you buff the Potted Powerhouse.

X4 Pea Nut: More nuts to absorb or deal damage and trigger the Mirror Nut.

X2 Spineapple: Just to give your walls some attack if necesary.

X1 Bananasaurus Rex: One of your finishers. When played properly it can just finish the game quickly or carry the match. It also helps to buff the Potted Powerhouse.

X3 Mirror-Nut: Your tank and win card, just place a lot of 0/x nuts and let the enemy hit them for his self destruction

X4 Smackadamia: A big nut used to deal damage, tank the amphibious lane and give HP back to your nuts.

X3 Tough Beets: One of the finishers. This will usually be big enough in turn 5 to scare your opponent.

X3 Super-Phat Beets: Another finisher. Probably a 10/10 or more in turn 6.

Our next hero has the biggest list of Tricks in the game... Inmorticia!

Meta Week: Professor Brainstorm OTK Valkyrie Zoo Deck!

Time for the guy who made me start this whole thing...
Choosing a Prof. Brainstorm deck to show was HARD, since its either Pay-To-Win Prankster or Valkyrie OTK. I decided to choose OTK Valk since its cheaper and, in some cases, better.

With this deck you are looking to boost Valkyrie to defeat the Plant Hero in 1 turn. This can be achieved with Teleport. You can teleport Valkyrie, and possibly do a Bonus Attack with Lurch For Lunch and win! Alot of the cards here have low health so they can easily be defeated by plants, or via Fireworks Zombie. This version is made by Tryhard, an amazing PvZH player, where you are purposely defeating your own zombies, but there are different ways to go with it.

X2 Chimney Sweep: Good turn 1 opening, however if you dont have Valkyrie as your starting hand, it may be best to save it.

X4 Teleport: "Feels like Cheating" is the description of this card, and in this deck its absolutely right! You will use it to teleport Valkyrie once it has enough strength, or to draw cards in order to cycle thru your deck and possibly get Valkyrie.

X4 Tennis Champ: Great damager. Can be a good turn 1 opening as well.

X4 Unlife Of The Party: With all the small cost zombies, he can easily be boosted with all of them.

X4 Cell Phone Zombie: Will help cycle out deck and draw cards. Card draw is a main advantage of Prof. Brainstorm in general, making it great here. Also to defeat or chump block.

X4 Lurch For Lunch: Can make a zombie do a bonus attack to remove something, or to win with Valkyrie.

X4 Pool Shark: Weak but strong, and also a great damage dealer if left alone.

X4 Exploding Imp: Great damage dealer, removal and pretty much an automatic boost to Valkyrie.

X3 Fireworks Zombie: Will purposely remove our weak zombies and any weak plants, like Shroom For Two.

X4 Kite Flyer: Will be a great card draw, and block.

X4 Valkyrie: Our main star. It will be saved alongside a Teleport to teleport in Valkyrie and defeat the Plant Hero ON 1 TURN.

As said before, there are many other variations of this deck with different ideas and win conditions.

Our next hero on the list has the toughest knuckles on the plants side... Grass Knuckles!

Event Card Analysis: Zombie High Diver

Zombie High DiverH
Zombie High Diver is a 3 cost, 2 attack 3 health Mustache Sports Zombie. He has the gravestone trait, and when revealed on the Heights lane, it moves to the water lane and gains +1/+1, transforming it into a 3/4.

For his cost, he can be quite dangerous due to being quite strong in health, and can apply pressure. With the sports attribute, it can get sports synergy if played with Neptuna. By itself, its stats are great, but it SHOULD be played on the heights lane to get the best out of it. Make sure the water lane is empty, or else it wont get boosted nor move.

This is also great to play mind-games with the opponent. Most people think with a turn 3 gravestone to be: Smelly Zombie, Stealthy Imp or Line-Dancing Zombie. With this added in it can create some crazy mind-games.

Can also be boosted further more with Gravestone Carver.

Meta Week: Nutty Beans Citron!

Uh... Citron? Yes!
Citron isnt really viable when it comes to decks and the meta, but there are decks that can work. With experience, some like this one can work wonders!

This deck has 2 different win conditions: Overrun the opponent with beans and their free damage, or boost your nuts and dont let your opponent get to damage you.

X4 Admiral Navy Bean: Your main bean damage dealer. The 2 chip damage can quickly overrun the opponent if not dealt with quickly.

X4 Sting Bean: Being a good choice to protect Admiral Navy Bean while dealing damage, it can also work as a pressure tool with its 1 damage of Truestrike.

X2 Wall-Nut: He will protect any of our plants on the ground.

X4 Jugger-Nut: Will deal with any 2 attack or less zombie with ease, and can pressure with 2 damage of Truestrike.

X3 Water Chestnut: Hes your main defender of Admiral Navy Bean in the water. Also great wall if needed.

X4 Hibernating Beary: Your punish tool if your opponent plays 1 or 2 attack zombies. Great wall and damage dealer if kept alive.

X2 Spineapple: Will give strenght to all of our nuts since most of them dont have attack points.

X2 Spring Bean: Mainly used to bounce any boosted zombies, since it resets its stats.

X2 Bean Counter: Gives extra beans to use, also every bean we play will boost it.

X4 Navy Bean: Alot of the plants here have Amphibious as a trait, so Navy Bean works wonders. Also a bean.

X1 Doom Shroom: Big removal of any big threats on the board. Be careful as it can take out your own plants as well.

X1 Jumping Bean: Bounces any zombie back, whether boosted or if its a threat.

X4 Smackadamia: He will buff all of our nuts on the board.

X1 Brainana: Can be used as a big finisher since it drains all of the zombie heroes brains, and that with a developed board can close games.

X1 Soul Patch: Can let you live for some more turns and help you win.

X1 The Great Zucchini: Can completely destroy the zombie heroes board by transforming all zombies into 1/1 zombies. Great finisher as well.

Our next hero is thought to be the best Zombie hero in the game... Professor Brainstorm!

PvZH Card Of The Week: Guacodile

GuacodileH
Guacodile is a 4 sun, 4 attack 3 health Fruit Animal plant with Amphibious. Its ability makes it do 4 damage when destroyed.

For its damage, its pretty good at taking out any big tanks, since it does 8 damage in general. It takes out any 2 damage or less zombie without getting destroyed, and defeats with ease any 4 health or more zombies.

It can become aggresive by placing it in the water lane, though its suggested to play it as a counter card. Even if its removed by Rocket Science, its greatest weakness, or its general attack is reduced, it will still take out or heavily damage the zombie in the lane.

Meta Week: Control Boogaloo!

Yes! Finally we are gonna take a look at some REAL meta decks!

Heres one really effective Electric Boogaloo deck made by Mat Daroz, named "Control Boogaloo". The idea is simple: Control the board and your opponent early on until Turn 12 or below, like 7 or 8, and unleash your powerful Gargantuars against your opponent. The deck was actually based around Single Player Boogaloo, where the AI would start off with removal cards, and move onto mid-late game with Gargantuars. This deck isnt cheap however.

X3 Bungee Plumber: Great early game removal. Can also finish off your opponent if its 2 Health or less.

X3 Nibble: Another great small removal card, and the healing is a nice bonus.

X4 Barrel Of Deadbeards: Can remove many low HP plants, and serve as a threat on the board. Can and generally should be activated with Fireworks Zombie if needed.

X4 Fireworks Zombie: Similar to Barrel Of Deadbeards. You will use him to deal with love health plants and activate Barrel Of Deadbeards.

X3 Zombots Wrath: Great at removing 3 health or less plants, and also a finisher if needed. Since by late game the board may be completely filled due to Gargantuar´s Feast, it can be a potential finisher or big removal card.

X4 The Chickening: An amazing removal card. Its basically BOD and Fireworks Zombie in one!

X3 Locust Swarm: A big removal card. Should be used on big threats or big Damage cards.

X4 Smashing Gargantuar: He will mainly be used to give all Gargantuars Frenzy to blast thru all the plants.

X2 Deep Seed Sea Gargantuar: A big threat in the water lane. Very strong and a big finisher.

X2 Maniacal Laugh: Another grand finisher. Can also boost our Gargantuars and Octo Zombie if need be.

X3 Nurse Gargantuar: Will heal us up if we are hurt, and with Smashing Gargantuar it can heal up so much! More with Maniacal Laugh.

X3 Spawns from hell Octo Zombie: A big finisher and threat. Its technically 16/16, due to the Afterlife trait.

X2 Gargantuars Feast: Grand finisher. This is why you controled all those turns. There is almost no way your opponent can survive, and worse if you get Zombot 1000. I recommend filling the water lane so you get different Gargantuars other than Deep Sea Gargantuar.

This deck, while costly, is effective and very good!

Next hero is another Hero from GW2... Citron!
