Event Card Analysis: Trapper Zombie

Trapper ZombieH
Trapper Zombie is an event zombie card in Plants vs. Zombies Heroes, and a member of the Sneaky class. He costs 4 to play, and has 3/3. He has the Gravestone trait, and his ability makes a Trapper Territory environment when he is revealed.

Trapper Zombie is used to destroy plants that have 1 in a lane. He acts similar to Fire Rooster, but creates an environment that does the same ability as Fire Rooster's ability. However, unlike Fire Rooster, the same ability is an environment and not part of a zombie, since it cannot be used on heights and only on the ground. But generally, it can be really useful for playing a 3/3 zombie, as well as removing plants with 1 or overriding a strong plant environment like The Red Plant-It or Venus Flytraplanet.

Additionally, he can benefit Brain Freeze with pet synergy with Zookeeper to increase strength or Cat Lady to boost her strength, since this is a pet zombie.

Two traps

Trapper Zombie can destroy your plants that have like Shroom for Two, Magnifying Grass, or Sunflower. Since this zombie is in a gravestone, you can destroy him very easily with Grave Buster to prevent him from playing Trapper Territory. Trapper Territory's ability is generally like Fire Rooster's, but since environments cannot be played on heights, you can play glass cannons on heights to keep them safe.

Card Of The Week: Morning Glory

Morning GloryH
Morning Glory is a premium uncommon plant card in Plants vs. Zombies Heroes, and a member of the Solar class. She costs 1 to play, and has 2/2. She does not have any traits, and her ability gives her +1/+1 if 6 or more sun has been made on the turn she is played.

Morning Glory has decent stats for a 1-sun cost plant. But when you have made more than 6 sun, she becomes even more powerful. While you can wait for the 6th turn, you can also play Sunflower or Sunburn to quickly make 6 sun. Combined with iher decent stats, spamming Morning Glory when you have made 6 sun or more is a cheap and effective way of dealing with zombies that have 3 health or less. However, many other plants can outperform her quickly in the late game.

Due to her decent stats for her low cost, you can also play her at the start of the battle to get some early damage off. However, other plants would be more useful, as her ability only activates when you make at least 6 sun.

Even without activating her ability, Morning Glory can be a hard plant to handle on the first turn, due to her having enough health to stand 1 damage, while damaging zombies that fight her.

Since she is very cheap as well, you may have a hard time if she is spammed, and especially if her ability has activated. Use zombies with 2 strength or more, or tricks like Rolling Stone, Weed Spray, or Bungee Plumber to take her out if her ability has not activated yet, and zombies with 3 strength or more if she has.

Event Card Analysis: Corn Dog

Corn DogH
Corn Dog is an event plant card in Plants vs. Zombies Heroes and a member of the Guardian class. It costs 2 to play, and has 3/2. It has the Amphibious and Hunt traits, and does not have any abilities. Its zombie counterpart is Dog Walker.

Corn Dog can be treated as a Fire Peashooter, but one that can track down zombies and does not synergies with any tribes. It is advised to use stat-boosting tricks on it as it can be destroyed easily upon being attacked by a zombie during a combat. But with a 3 base, it is immune to Rocket Science and Rolling Stone. Overall, it is a good plant to guard against most treats such as Beam Me Up. Take note that it goes to the zombie's lane when that zombie is being played, which prevents threatening zombies like Copter Commando from directly hitting the plant hero during the trick phrase, so do not expect it to attack the zombie hero that often.

https://i.redd.it/n6m4y5in2t6z.jpg

Despite it having the Amphibious trait, you do not need an Amphibious zombie to counter it.
Use tricks like Beam Me Up to destroy it on the same turn or just play a zombie to drag it off to the ground. If not, tricks like Bungee Plumber can help counter its low health easily. Try to take it out or else it will mess up your strategies.

Card Of The Week: Dark Matter Dragonfruit

Dark Matter DragonfruitH
Dark Matter Dragonfruit is a galactic legendary plant card in Plants vs. Zombies Heroes and a member of the Smarty class. It costs 8 to play, and has 6/6. It has the Amphibious and Splash Damage 6 traits, and its ability increases the cost of all zombie tricks by 6. This ability stacks with each Dark Matter Dragonfruit on the field, and persists until all Dark Matter Dragonfruits are removed from the field. Its zombie counterpart is Defensive End.

This can be a game-changing card, turning the tide of the battle in your favor. Not only does it have high raw stats, coupled with the Amphibious and Splash Damage 6 traits, but it has an extremely powerful ability, namely making all zombie tricks cost 6 brains more. This makes up for a common weakness of tricks that can destroy plants. It can easily destroy three zombies in just one attack, thanks to its incredible Splash Damage.

Because of how powerful this can be, you should try hard to protect it. Playing in on the aquatic lane will keep it relatively safe, but also reduces its Splash Damage effectiveness. Green Shadow can use stat-boosting cards to help keep it alive and do even more damage (note that increasing its strength does not increase the Splash Damage). Citron can do an even better job at this with all of his Team-Up plants as well as health-boosting tricks. Rose can make use of plants such as Sunflower and Toadstool to generate more sun, allowing her to play this earlier and making it harder to deal with.

This is easily one of the most dangerous Smarty plants so far. Not only does it boast outstanding stats and traits, but its ability prevents you from playing tricks that could destroy it easily, like Rocket Science, for quite a few turns. Also, since plants play second, your opponent can simply play this without you knowing, especially when you spent a lot of brains on zombies, forcing you to have a mind-reading session with your opponent until you find out that they do not have this card in their procession. The best way to get rid of it is to use Deadly zombies. Combining many zombies with the Zombot Sharktronic Sub also works well.

If you are forced to use tricks, the cheapest option is Cut Down to Size, which can be played on the 7th turn if Dark Matter Dragonfruit is in play (or immediately if you get it with a Super-Block). A way to reduce the impact of this plant is by having Gentleman Zombies to give you some brains for tricks.

Set 3 is already in the works, and heres a video showcasing the cards in it. Keep in mind its all subject to change.

Event Card Analysis: Synchronized Swimmer

Synchronized SwimmerH
Synchronized Swimmer is an event zombie card in Plants vs. Zombies Heroes, and a member of the Beastly class. She costs 2 to play, and has 2/2. She has the Amphibious trait, and her ability makes her copy the strength and health of another Zombie on the field.

Synchronized Swimmer has good stats for a zombie that costs 2, but what makes her really great is her ability to copy the strength and health of any other zombie in play. She also has the Amphibious trait, and thus you can play her on the aquatic lane, where the defenses are typically weak. Still, avoid playing her if your only zombies are weaker than her base stats. This will only weaken her and make her less of a threat for your opponent.

She is mainly useful when you have a very strong zombie on the field, as she can copy the strength and health of that zombie, which can potentially make her devastating. This is especially true if you play her on a aquatic lane, as then she will both be strong and hard to take out. One thing to keep in mind is that she cannot copy traits of a zombie, just their strength and health.

Another thing to know is that Synchronized Swimmer is both a dancing zombie and a sports zombie. Electric Boogaloo can make use of her dancing tribe to his advantage. Her Amphibious trait allows him to fill the aquatic lane with a dancing zombie, after which he can play Flamenco Zombie to do up to 10 damage to the plant hero (20 if Binary Stars are also in play). She also synergizes with Aerobics Instructor, which will continuously boost her strength at the start of each turn.

The Smash, on the other hand, can use her in his sports synergy decks. Team Mascot and Zombie Coach can apply pressure by boosting Synchronized Swimmer's stats and making her invulnerable to damage, respectively, potentially turning her into an absolute nuisance to the opposition.

Overshoot Swimmer
"Look! I have Overshoot! How fun. NOW DIE"

This zombie can be potentially dangerous. To deal with her, simply Bounce her, as her stats will be reset. You can also destroy all the stronger zombies first so that the zombie hero is forced to copy the stats of a weaker zombie. If you cannot Bounce her, use instant-kill tricks such as Squash and Doom-Shroom to destroy her and for the latter, the stronger zombies too.

Event Card Analysis: King Of The Grill

King of the GrillH
King of the Grill is an event zombie card in Plants vs. Zombies Heroes, and a member of the Beastly class. He costs 6 to play, and has 6/6. He has the Frenzy trait, and his ability Conjures a gourmet card when a Gargantuar zombie, including him, destroys a plant. This ability persists until all Kings of the Grill are removed from the field.

This card has good stats and traits for his cost. However, his ability is what makes him shine in a Gargantuar deck and a Conjuring deck.

In a Gargantuar deck, he can be used alongside cards such as Smashing Gargantuar, Deep Sea Gargantuar, Supernova Gargantuar, and even Zombot 1000. Speaking of Zombot 1000, using its ability against many plants while a King of the Grill is on the field can result in a huge card draw for you.

Each Beastly hero has their their ways of using this card well:
  • The Smash can play this earlier using Gargologist or use health-boosting cards such as Camel Crossing to help let his Gargantuars take more damage, allowing them to Conjure more Gourmet cards. He can also use his signature, Slammin' Smackdown, to earn a free Gourmet card.
  • Electric Boogaloo can use damaging tricks such as Bungee Plumber and Final Mission to weaken the plants severely, making it more likely for him to have a Gourmet card in his hand. He can also finish off plants with Zombot's Wrath to earn a free card.
  • Immorticia can use Teleport to play him in a lane filled with weak plants to allow easy card conjuring and hit the plant hero hard. She can also combine King of the Grill with Wizard Gargantuar to ensure that if King of the Grill does hit the plant hero, it will be unblockable.
  • Brain Freeze can use this with Dr. Spacetime to reduce the cost of the Conjured cards or move him with Smoke Bomb into a lane filled with weak plants.
Here is the list of cards that King of the Grill can Conjure for easy reference:
  • Brain Vendor
  • Cheese Cutter
  • Coffee Zombie
  • Cryo-Brain
  • Energy Drink Zombie
  • Gargantuars' Feast
  • Healthy Treat
  • Hot Dog Imp
  • Another King of the Grill
  • Leftovers
  • Lurch for Lunch
  • Mystery Egg
  • Nibble
  • Overstuffed Zombie
  • Sugary Treat
  • Trapper Territory
  • Trick or Treater
  • Vitamin Z
  • Yeti Lunchbox

However, if you are using him to Conjure cards, then although he can conjure useful cards such as Coffee Zombie or Nibble or even powerful cards such as Gargantuars' Feast, he may also give cards that are either weak such as Trapper Territory or ones that do not synergies well with your deck such as Trick or Treater in a non-trick deck.

Stat-wise, King of the Grill is a dangerous zombie. His ability will allow the zombie hero to earn free cards and it also allows all Gargantuars to do the same, especially Supernova Gargnatuar and Zombot 1000. The best counter is to destroy him with tricks like Squash, Doom-Shroom and Shamrocket before your opponent plays Supernova Gargantuar or Zombot 1000. In the case of Supernova Gargantuar, using Molekale can lessen the impact of Supernova Gargantuar. In the case of Zombot 1000, consider playing a few plants first and then retaliating.

Card of the week: Tough Beets (+COTW Set 2 Changes)

Tough BeetsH
Tough Beets is a premium rare plant card in Plants vs. Zombies Heroes, and a member of the Guardian class. It costs 5 to play, and has 6/1. It has the Armored 1 trait, and its ability gives it +1 for each plant and zombie on the field when it is played.

Tough Beets has really good base stats (assuming there is a good number of plants or zombies on field) for a moderate cost of 5. Strategies with Super-Phat Beets should apply here as it gains more health for each plant and zombie. Its Armored trait makes it immune to zombies that have only 1, forcing the opponent to use stronger zombie fighters in an attempt to slowly whittle down Tough Beets.

Keep in mind that it is heavily not recommended to use this card if there are fewer plants and zombies on the field, as it will be very easy to take out and most likely won't be worth the 5.

 A 69 Beets

Having the Armored trait will make it very difficult for the player to take down Tough Beets, as attacks and damaging tricks will be reduced by 1. However, using instant-kil tricks that would destroy Tough Beets, such as Rocket Science or Locust Swarm can simply ignore the Armored trait it has. Sneaky heroes can make use of Deadly zombies to destroy Tough Beets regardless of its health. Bouncing this with Backyard Bounce can help. Making this useless using Shrink Ray and Landscaper is a good way to treat this too, as they affect its strength directly.

UPDATE TIME: To make stuff balanced we will feature 2 set 1 and 2 set 2 cards per month in Card Of The Week. 1st and 3rd week will be a Set 1 while 2nd and 4th Week will be a Set 2 card. Also Event Card Analysis will also have double posts when theres a payed event card (like the recently released King Of The Grill)

Event Card Analysis: Sonic Bloom

Sonic BloomH
Sonic Bloom is an event plant card in Plants vs. Zombies Heroes, and a member of the Kabloom class. It costs 4 to play, and has 3/1. It does not have any traits, and its ability does 1 damage to the zombie hero for every plant on the field, including it, when it is played.

Sonic Bloom can be treated as the plant version of Flamenco Zombie, but its ability inflicts 1 damage to the zombie hero instead of 2, and works for all plants in play regardless of tribe, unlike Flamenco Zombie whose ability only counts on dancing zombies in play. This makes it really useful when you combine this with Team-Up plants like Shroom for Two or Pair of Pears to do even more damage to the zombie hero. If you manage to swarm the field with lots of plants by the time you play Sonic Bloom, it can do a maximum of 10 damage to the zombie hero.

However, this feat is very difficult, mainly due to the fact that the Kabloom class has no Amphibious plants. Only Spudow and Nightcap have access to Amphibious plants, but in this case, achieving 10 damage with Sonic Bloom would be much easier as well, since they also have access to many Team-Up plants.

In addition, it is in the flower tribe, which can benefit from Power Flower or Briar Rose, although Sonic Bloom has very low health, and only Solar Flare can take advantage of its tribe. If you are playing as Nightcap, you can play Rescue Radish to Bounce Sonic Bloom so you can replay it and reuse its ability.

Unless necessary, it is not recommended to play this if the zombie hero's Super-Block Meter is close enough to being full, as it just wastes Sonic Bloom's ability to do heavy damage to the zombie hero.
SonicBloom2
Unlike Flamenco Zombie, Sonic Bloom can do more damage the more plants of any tribe there is on board, and due to that fact plants have Team-Up, it can end up doing a lot of damage to the zombie hero. In addition, you cannot avoid its ability unless your Super-Block Meter is near full. To avoid that large amount of damage to your hero, destroy as many plants as possible by using tricks such as The Chickening and Weed Spray. Other ways to destroy swarms are using cards like Fire Rooster to attack 2 plants on one lane, Strikethrough zombies like Line Dancing Zombie, or Fireworks Zombie to destroy all plants with 1 health.

If Sonic Bloom is already in play, you can play any zombie to destroy Sonic Bloom easily as it has very low health. Tricks like Bungee Plumber and Electrobolt work as well. You can also take advantage of its health and use Nibble to destroy it quickly and heal your hero.

Unless you are certain that you will be able to finish off the opponent before the Plants Play phase next turn or you deal with the other plants, do not Bounce this plant, as it can be replayed to do damage to you.

Card Of The Week: Biodome Botanist

Biodome BotanistH
Biodome Botanist is a galactic rare zombie card in Plants vs. Zombies Heroes and a member of the Beastly class. He costs 2 to play, and has 2/3. He does not have any traits, and his ability makes a 1/1 plant on a chosen lane.

Due to the fact that his ability can make a 1/1 plant for the plant hero, his ability works only well when using a deck with Frenzy. Making a 1/1 plant in front of a Frenzy zombie can prevent the plant hero from playing a strong plant like Tough Beets in front of Frenzy zombies like Smashing Gargantuar.

You can also make a 1/1 plant in an empty lane to fill up your block meter more easily, despite taking a small amount of damage to your hero and this will also stress out opponents because their whole field is being clogged by useless 1/1 plants.

In addition, this can benefit well with Immorticia because this is a science zombie so it can be boosted by Zombot Drone Engineer and get a bonus attack from the Gadget Scientist.

You can also play the plant in front of Vimpire, Overstuffed Zombie or Arm Wrestler to boost them, or you could put down the plant in front of a Nurse Gargantuar to get extra health.

However, if there is Muscle Sprout on the field, do not play him unless the whol field is already filled with plants, as it will boost itself when he is played.

This zombie isn't as tough to defeat. Even if this zombie makes a free 1/1 plant for you, you want to be careful as the zombie hero can play Frenzy zombies in front of that plant; thus you cannot play a strong plant to stop it unless that plant has Team-Up. However, since the screen is filled with plants, you should take this as an advantage to play plants that gain an advantage from that like Mushroom Ringleader or Super-Phat Beets to pack a big punch. You can also play Muscle Sprout to make the zombie hero think twice before playing him.

Meta Look: The Sneaky takeover

The Sneaky class has taken over the zombie meta quite alot, and its all thanks to some very powerful factors. Lets take a look at all of them and see how well they help Sneaky become the most powerful and greatest class in the zombie tribe.

PvZH Sneaky Icon

Sneaky is known for their great abilities, like Gravestone and Deadly. Gravestone lets them avoid removal and damage, except for Grave Buster, which is a very minor counter. This alongside many other powerful zombies and combos makes Sneaky the best class as of now.

Some of the craziest combos include the infamous but powerful Pogo Bouncer + Mixed-Up Gravedigger, which bounces plants over and over till you defeat your opponent. Others include the Swashbuckler Zombie and the 3 costs (Sneaky Imp, Line Dancing and more), all of which stay safe till they get out of their grave.

Deadly is the 2nd reason Sneaky is good. Flat out removing plants with a hit is very powerful, and some deadly zombies even have gravestone with em.

The reason why Sneaky is succeding in the meta is because of alot of the rush and control decks out there now, and with gravestone zombies can survive and counter, which is way better than the passive aggresive style of Trickster/Brainy decks. Both deck types work, but in a world where your cards will get defeated easily or you will get swarmed, Sneaky has an advantage in removing cards with Strikethrough and staying alive with Gravestone.

What do yall think? Is Sneaky OP? Is being passive aggresive better?

Video Thrusday: Amazing memes

Ever wanted the nutshack or Robbie Rotten on PvZH? A person modded some cards to do just that! Its pretty good work tbh :)

Event Card Analysis: Going Viral

Going ViralH
Going Viral is an event zombie card in Plants vs. Zombies Heroes, and a member of the PvZH Hearty IconHearty class. It costs 3BrainPvZH to play, and its ability gives all zombies on the field +1StrengthPvZH/+1HeartPvZH and PvZH Frenzy IconFrenzy, shuffles 3 more Going Viral cards into the zombie hero's deck, and gives the zombie hero a card.

This card can essentially replace Coffee Zombie in most cases, as it does the same thing, with the added benefits of drawing a card, adding more of it into you deck, and costing 3BrainPvZH less. It can also be use as an alternative to Leftovers as it gives every zombie the PvZH Frenzy IconFrenzy trait, a free card, and reshuffles 3 of the same cards into the deck, but cost only 1 more brain than Leftovers.

Because each usage creates 3 copies of it, it will likely draw this card multiple times until it fills the player's deck, allowing to boost your zombies a lot. At the same time, however, you should also be careful about the fact that the more you play this trick, the higher your chances are of drawing this card which prevents you from playing other cards in the late game. If you run out of zombies on the field, it can be difficult to draw more zombie cards as Going Viral has filled up your deck. So you must play this card very wisely and not repeatedly, unless you can easily remove the plants or the player cannot destroy the zombies very easily.

In addition, since this is a trick, the player won't be able to use this when the plant hero plays Brainana, while Coffee Zombie could have been used on the same turn. It can also be quite expensive in the early game, making it a huge sacrifice on whether to boost zombies and potentially have a bad late game draw, or save brains for more important tricks like Weed Spray.

Z-Mech has one of the best uses of this card, as he can get the field covered very quickly. This can work well when playing with groups of PvZH Armored IconArmored zombies so they survive longer and benefit with this trick. Combining this with a dancing deck, Z-Mech can deal a lot of damage very early if performed correctly. Other heroes may use this as a supporting trick like Monster Mash, as they do not have as much board filling options as Z-Mech. Rustbolt also works well with this card, because he can use cards like Fun-Dead Raiser, Regifting Zombie, and Leprechaun Imp to draw more cards, allowing you to get more of these in your hand faster. However, do not overuse this card as it lowers your chances from playing new zombies. Zombie King also works very well with this card, as it can turn weaker zombies into Knights of the Living Dead, allowing them to last on the field longer. However, when Zombie King turns other zombies into Knights of the Living Dead, it will erase all boosts Going Viral has given.

Due to this trick's nature, it is not recommended to bring other zombies that already have the PvZH Frenzy IconFrenzy trait as it just only gives them a +1StrengthPvZH/+1HeartPvZH boost.

This card can be very dangerous, because it can boost every zombie on the field and give them PvZH Frenzy IconFrenzy, and due to it being a trick, you cannot prevent it unless you play Brainana. Heroes that do not lead the PvZH Smarty IconSmarty class will need to get creative with their strategies.

Your main goal will be to remove as many of the zombies on the field as possible, since your opponent's hand may be full of Going Viral cards due to its nature. Prioritize zombies that are dangerous with PvZH Frenzy IconFrenzy, such as Shieldcrusher Viking, Nurse Gargantuar, and Overstuffed Zombie. You can play Sportacus or Black-Eyed Pea to try to discourage the zombie hero from playing this, or boost your own plants to prevent the bonus attack from taking effect. Keep in mind that the zombie hero will always have several of these, even if they start out with only one, so you will need to apply these strategies for an extended period of time. If the boosted zombies are too much for your plants to handle, using a Doom-Shroom will most likely destroy them all and lead to a defeat for the zombie hero.

Card Of The Week: Cat Lady

Cat LadyH
Cat Lady is a premium rare zombie card in Plants vs. Zombies Heroes, and a member of the PvZH Beastly IconBeastly class. She costs 1BrainPvZH to play, and has 4HeartPvZH. She does not have any traits, and her ability gives her +3StrengthPvZH every time a pet is played, but only for the turn that pet is played.

Cat Lady on her own is not very useful, as she has no strength points. However, the amount of health that she has makes her able to resist weak plant attacks.

Cat Lady really shines in a deck filled with pet cards, as she gains strength and will be able to attack plants. However, the downside is that the strength she gains lasts for only one turn, then you'll have to play some more pets on the next turn. So, don't play too many pets in one turn, as you may find yourself in a lack of pet cards when you really need it. Because of this, the player should try and boost her strength so that she can attack without the need of pet cards, such as using Loudmouth, Galvanize, Vitamin Z, Zookeeper, and Maniacal Laugh.

Brain Freeze can boost Cat Lady much more easily, as two of his superpowers, Frozen Tundra and Dolphinado, are both pet tricks. He can use either of the tricks to boost Cat Lady and do 3 direct damage to the plant hero, or do damage a plant in front of Cat Lady. Immorticia's signature superpower will boost Cat Lady twice, once for the pet trick and once for the Zom-Bats summoned.

Cat Lady is only formidable if the zombie hero uses pet cards, which most likely they will. If they use Cat Lady first, consider attacking, then dealing with her once a pet card is used. However, attacking Cat Lady early could also be beneficial, as she won't be much of a hassle to destroy after.

Additionally, Bouncing Cat Lady with Spring Bean or any other Bouncing effect when she gets a strength boost is recommended, as she will not have the strength when played back again.

If the player is playing as Rose, beware using Goatify if there is a Cat Lady on the field, as she will still gain more strength due to it becoming a pet card. But if Cat Lady is the zombie with the highest strength, and there aren't any other Cat Ladies or Zookeepers on the field, then you are free to use it.

You can also use Uncrackable, Peel Shield, or Root Wall to neutralize Cat Lady's attack when she gets out of hand.

Lets Talk! Galactic Gardens Set 1 changes

With Galactic Gardens came a butt-ton of changes to existing cards. Lets see how they will affect the game.

1st, heres a list of them:

Z-Mech: Missile Madness now does 3 damage to a plant and 1 to all other plants. He also has Electrobolt now instead of Dance-Off.
Prof. Brainstorm: Now has Dance-Off instead of Electrobolt.
Citron and Rose: Transmogrify now transforms a zombie into a random one that costs 1 brain.
Wall-Knight and Spudow: Bubble-Up now gives +4 HP instead of +3.
Bananasaurus RexGained Doublestrike trait
Brainana Drains 99999999 Brains max.
Dog Walker Hunt Trait added
Garlic Root plant
Grave Buster Root Vine Trick
Loudmouth Dancing Imp Zombie
Mad Chemist When you play your first Trick each turn, Conjure a Trick.
Mayflower When this hurts the Zombie Hero, Conjure a Corn, Squash or Bean.
Mini-Ninja Professional Imp Zombie
Mixed-Up Gravedigger Will not instantly trigger his effect when played on a Graveyard.
Poison Oak Leafy Tree Plant
Repeater Gained DoubleStrike
Soul Patch Flower Root Plant
Sow Magic Beans Shuffle four Magic Beanstalks into your deck.
Spyris Flower Root Plant
Trick-or-Treater When you play your first Trick each turn, Conjure a Treat.
Vitamin Z Gourmet Trick
Whipvine Root Vine Plant

The big Z-Mech Change.

Z-mech has gotten a big buff, where his super now does 3 damage to a plant of your choosing, and 1 damage to all other plants in the board. Z-Mech´s power now counters Zoo decks, like the infamous Shroom-For-Two and Pineclone, alongside the now rising Mushroom Grotto. His power also allows him to take out a powerful plant with 3 health or less, which is very good.

He also finally got Electrobolt, which is basically his Superpower but without the splash damage. Very nice buff to an underused and overshadowed hero. This alongside all the new hearty and crazy cards will make Z-mech much better than before, and while he will still has his dreaded no hard removal potential, he will now be known for Small and Group removal.

Prof. Brainstorm nerf (or buff?)

And now for the big change that everyone was sad about: Prof. Brainstorm now has Dance-Off instead of Electrobolt.
While it is sad that he lost one of the best ways to get rid of plants easily and effectively, this may not be so bad, and its because of the rise of OTK Valkyrie decks. With these new dancers added to the mix you can potentially get Valkyrie to be 4/6 if you play Dance Off on turn 2 of 3, and if you have Valkyrie in your starting hand. Dancing Storm will also be a little more effective thanks to it. Brainstorms powers were always ment for conjuring and card draw, so its good to see a power like this to emphasize that.

Transmogrify buff and nerf!

Transmogrify got a well deserved nerf, where now it transforms the zombie into a 1 cost zombie. It was a 2 or less zombie, which is good for dangerous 1 cost zombies, as it could give the enemy a better zombie. This solves that problem and is a nerf to the zombies and a buff to the plants!

More bubbles!

Bubble-Up now gives +4 Health instead of +3! A very good buff and makes plants live much longer thanks to it.
The big trait and tribe changes

So many cards got their tribe and trait changed. Cards like Bananasaurus and Dog Walker got Double-Strike and Hunt, which are their respective abilities from before but now as a trait. Some like Loudmouth got a tribe change, which will help them fit in more decks or to help out a card, like Roots.

Alongside these, some interactions with cards were changed, like Brainana.

Overall, all these changes really do change the game very well. Underused heroes will become more popular, while others will be a bit better with new cards and tribe changes.
What do yall think? Tell us below!

Event Card Analysis: Toadstool

ToadstoolH
Toadstool is an event plant card in Plants vs. Zombies Heroes, and a member of the Solar class. It costs 6 to play, and has 4/4. It does not have any traits, and its ability destroys the zombie with 4 or less on its lane when it is played, and gives the plant hero +1 at the start of every turn, starting from the next turn after it is played.

Toadstool is like The Smash's signature superpower, Slammin' Smackdown but with a little twist. Unlike his superpower, Toadstool costs a lot more, but comes with a decent plant that produces sun. In other words, it behaves similarly to Chomper, except with better stats, a tribe synergy, and the ability to produce sun like Sunflower. Use it like how you would use Chomper, but with greater benefits to take out some stronger zombies like Portal Technician, Nurse Gargantuar, Undying Pharaoh, and others.

For zombies with enough strength to evade Toadstool's ability, you can play strength-reducing cards like Water Balloons, Scorched Earth and Weed Whack to allow it destroy any zombie with less than 6 or 5 strength such as Shieldcrusher Viking, Trickster, Deep Sea Gargantuar, Zombot Plank Walker, etc. If you keep weakening stronger zombies multiple times, it is also possible to destroy powerful zombies like Octo Zombie or Zombot 1000.

In addition, when playing as Solar Flare, you can benefit Toadstool using Buff-Shroom or Punish-Shroom to make it even more dangerous, since it is a mushroom.

While Toadstool isn't very powerful, its ability is very dangerous. The best counter for its ability is to play high-strength zombies to fight it, or Gravestone zombies to avoid them from being destroyed before they can fight. However, Wall-Knight can play Doom-Shroom and Grave Buster instead, so do not always rely on this strategy when you are against him.

For Toadstool itself, instant-kill tricks like Rocket Science, Locust Swarm, and Cakesplosion can easily destroy it.

Event Card Analysis: High-Voltage Currant

High-Voltage CurrantH
High-Voltage Currant is an event plant card in Plants vs. Zombies Heroes, and a member of the Kabloom class. It costs 1 to play, and has 1/1. It does not have any traits, and its ability gives it +1 attack when another berry card including another High-Voltage Currant does damage, and adds a random berry card into the plant hero's hand when it is played.

This goes great with any sort of berry deck, as it will not only gain strength when another berry does damage, but it will also give you a random berry card when you play it. Having multiple of these in such decks will make it so you can quickly have lots of high-damage attackers in just a few turns.
Sergeant Strongberry will further enhance its combat prowess, while cards like Sour Grapes and Grapes of Wrath can easily do damage with their abilities, boosting High-Voltage Currant's strength very quickly. Due to it drawing a card, High-Voltage Currant can help boost Bananasaurus Rex. Its ability to gain strength also allows it to boost Potted Powerhouse. However, only Captain Combustible can do these things naturally.

The best way you can use to boost its strength is Sour Grapes, as it can hit up to 5 zombies at the same time with its ability, increasing its strength by 5.

However, you must be aware of its health, since having 1 health means it can be removed very easily. Boosting its health can be very useful.

You should destroy this plant quickly because if left alone, it can accumulate a lot of strength very quickly, dealing high damage to a single zombie or even the zombie hero. It does have very low health, however, so virtually any removal trick or zombie can destroy it like Conga Zombie or Bungee Plumber, but beware of Berry Blast if you are to use zombies.

Card of the Week: Cornucopia

CornucopiaH
Cornucopia is a premium legendary plant card in Plants vs. Zombies Heroes, and a member of the Solar class. It costs 10 to play, and has 6/6. It does not have any traits, and its ability makes a random plant from the entire game, including another Cornucopia, on every lane excluding the lane it is on.

Cornucopia is a decent plant with an interesting ability. However, it is an extremely expensive plant to play, and you will not get a chance to play it in most situations. It is recommended to use a deck that generates lots of sun to play it earlier.

It is best to play Cornucopia when almost all lanes are empty, as it does not fill lanes with a plant already in them, unless they have the Team-Up trait, which in that case, Cornucopia will make them behind those plants. If you are playing as Solar Flare, you can play Pineclone after you play Cornucopia to make the created plants stronger if they are weaker than Pineclone. However, keep in mind that Cornucopia itself will be transformed too, so only use it when the total strength of the Pineclones are more than the total strength of your original plants. You can also Bounce Cornucopia to play it again as Rose. Since every plant made by Cornucopia counts as playing a plant, Muscle Sprout benefits from it greatly. However, this also means that there is one less lane for Cornucopia's ability to take place in, and only Chompzilla can do it normally.

However, Cornucopia's ability is extremely luck-based. While it can make amazing plants like Guacodile, or even legendary plants like Kernel Corn or Bananasaurus Rex, it can also make weak plants or even tokens like Lil' Buddy or Peashooter, or plants that do not synergize with your deck, such as Admiral Navy Bean in a non-bean-based deck. Either way, it is a good plant to block damage in unprotected lanes, as well as filling out aquatic lanes which is especially helpful for Solar Flare and Chompzilla, as both lack Amphibious plants.

Due to its ability, it can help bring you to back to the game if Zombot 1000 destroys your defenses. Although it can not carry you by itself, it makes other plants that can stall you for some time to make a comeback. However, Immorticia's Teleport + Zombot 1000 combo renders this useless, unless it luckily makes a Brainana.

On top of Cornucopia's stats being high, it can also make other dangerous plants that can seriously threaten you. Make sure you have tricks that do damage to multiple plants at once to get rid of all of them really quickly. If you're lucky and your opponent only managed to get low health plants or those with low strength, then dealing with the Cornucopia itself and the plants shouldn't be a problem since Weed Spray and The Chickening can get rid of the plants while Rocket Science and Locust Swarm can deal with the Cornucopia. The Chickening combined with Zombot Sharktronic Sub is a deadly combo, and easily take out all the plants made by Cornucopia, including itself. An alternative method is to play Zombot 1000, although this only can be used on the next turn unless you are playing as Immorticia and play it with Teleport, or happen to get it through Gargantuars' Feast.

However, the best way is to finish the battle before your opponent can play one. Removing sun-producing plants is a priority, as they allow your opponent to play it earlier. Deadly zombies are also useful, as they can destroy such plants in one hit only.

ANNOUNCEMENT: The Official PvZ Heroes Reddit Tournament #2!

Reddit user Cheesegrater74 posted the grand announcement of the upcoming PvZ Heroes Tournament #2! Check out the reddit post over by clicking here.

Personally, im not entering. Mainly since im not a really organized person to stay on schedule with most things, and that may get me out of the tourney due to being late to matches.

We will, or course, cover all the tourney over here. Stay tuned for more!

Deck Fridays: Aggro Brain Freeze by Me!

Lets admit it. Brain Freeze has been one of the least used heroes in PvZH. He has some cool combos and strategies, and thats what im here to showcase.
Using the latest Imposter, alongside Secret Agent and others, im here to showcase my Aggro Brain Freeze Deck.

This deck focuses early on with Imps, which flood the board and draw you cards, and boosting up in the mid and late game using Loudmouth and Secret Agent to overwhelm and defeat the opponent! Bouncing and Mixed Up Gravedigger keeps control of the board too.

X4 Imposter: Card draw with Imp Commander, and its basically a free 2 attack hit and can trade well against most early game plants.

X4 Nibble: Removal and small healing.

X4 Secret Agent: Amazing boosting, and gives a huge tempo boost. Use it with zombies that can be big threats, like Snorkel Zombie, Energy Drink Zombie, Vimpire, or useful abilities like Pogo Bouncer.

X2 Snorkel Zombie: Water lane pressure and great candidate for Secret Agent.

X4 Energy Drink Zombie: Another incredible Secret Agent candidate and big damage dealer. Can be replaced with Line Dancing Zombie if you dont have all 4 copies.

X4 Toxic Waste Imp: Gives all imps deadly to easily remove plants, and another good candidate for Secret Agent.

X4 Imp Commander: Card draw and card advantage.

X3 Loudmouth: Boosts up any weak zombie to make them do more damage or live.

X2 Vimpire: Sometimes finisher when boosted up and kept alive correctly. Can be replaced.

X4 Pogo Bouncer: Bounces boosted or dangerous plants.

X3 Mixed-Up Gravedigger: Reuses the abilities of Pogo and Loudmouth, and can heal up any damage, at the cost of removing buffs.

X2 Surprise Gargantuar: Finisher or destroyer of weak or dangerous plants.

Thanks for reading! See yall later!

Event Card Analysis: Overstuffed Zombie

Overstuffed ZombieH
Overstuffed Zombie is an event zombie card in Plants vs. Zombies Heroes, and a member of the Beastly class. He costs 4 to play, and has 3/5. He does not have any traits, and his ability heals him to full health and gives him +2 every time he destroys a plant, unless he is destroyed in combat against one.

Overstuffed Zombie is like Vimpire, as he gets some sort of boost when he destroys a plant. However, unlike Vimpire, Overstuffed Zombie cannot get a strength boost, and he does not have the Frenzy trait either. However, he has the ability to heal himself to full and get +2. This means that he does not need healing from Medic, but more importantly, his ability makes him an outstanding tank that keeps you in control of a single lane, as long as he stays on the field.

You can play strength-boosting cards like Vitamin Z and Orchestra Conductor, which makes him hit even harder so he can destroy plants more easily. You can also play tricks that give him Frenzy, which works well with a strength boost. You can also give him both by playing Maniacal Laugh, making him nearly unstoppable. However, your opponent could play Squash or Lawnmower to make short work of him. If you are playing as The Smash, you can also choose to play Possessed to give him extra survivability, as well as the Frenzy trait.

When this zombie is on the field, do not play any plants with less than 3 health, as it can make Overstuffed Zombie even bulkier by letting him destroy them, unless that plant has enough strength (5, precisely) to destroy Overstuffed Zombie in one attack, such as Carrotillery.

If all else fails, you must destroy this zombie quickly, or else he becomes too tanky for you to deal with. Resort to instant-kill cards like Whack-a-Zombie or Squash, or if his strength gets increased, Shamrocket or Doom-Shroom, although in Doom-Shroom's case, it can destroy your plants as well. If those are not an option, you can soften him up, or destroy him with damaging tricks like Berry Blast or Sizzle. Alternatively, you can play cards such as Steel Magnolia or Root Wall on a plant in front of him to make it harder for him to destroy it, but be careful if Overstuffed Zombie gets a strength boost. As Citron, you can also play Peel Shield to stall a turn.

Event Card Analysis: Sun Shroom

Sun-ShroomH
Sun-Shroom is an event plant card in Plants vs. Zombies Heroes, and a member of the Solar class. It costs 2 to play, and has 2. It has the Team-Up trait, and its ability gives the plant hero +1 at the start of the next turn and transforms it into a Sunnier-Shroom.

Sun-Shroom can be treated as Sunflower that costs 1 sun more, but has 1 extra health. But in addition, it turns into a Sunnier-Shroom if it survives onto the next turn which becomes a better version of Twin Sunflower with 3 health instead of 2. Due to Sun-Shroom having 2 health and transforming into another plant the next turn, it can withstand a zombie with 1 strength or less, then transform into a bulkier plant at full health.

Chompzilla can use Sun-Shroom in succession with Muscle Sprout as when it transforms into Sunnier-Shroom, Muscle Sprout will activate its ability again. She can also boost it with cards like Fertilize and Plant Food to help keep it alive. Finally, she can use Black-Eyed Pea to discourage the zombie hero from using tricks to destroy it.

Solar Flare can use it as an alternative for Sunflower in mushroom decks, as being in the mushroom tribe, it can benefit from Buff-Shroom and Punish-Shroom. However, do not play Buff-Shroom until it turns into Sunnier-Shroom, as its stat boosts will be erased when it transforms.

Wall-Knight is able to increase its strength with Spineapple, allowing it to attack back. He can also increase Sunnier-Shroom's health to make it survive longer and produce more sun and can also use tough plants like Wall-Nut to protect Sunnier-Shroom and tricks such as Gardening Gloves, Bubble Up and Root Wall to move or protect it. He can also use Steel Magnolia to increase its health, or 2nd-Best Taco of All Time to heal it.

Rose does not have many uses or synergies with this, but she can use Shellery and other Team-Up plants to protect Sun-Shroom, and freeze, bounce, or destroy zombies that may damage it.

Sun-Shroom has no strength and 2 health, so you can easily destroy it with Rolling Stone or Bungee Plumber. However, it you manage to leave it, be careful as Sunnier-Shroom has 1 extra health and produces 2 sun each turn like Twin Sunflower for a cost of 2 sun. So if possible, aim on destroying Sun-Shroom or Sunnier-Shroom to prevent the plant hero from gaining a sun advantage for a cheap cost. Sunnier-Shroom can be destroyed by Zombot's Wrath, Rolling Stone, Electrobolt, or Stayin' Alive.
