Card Of The Week: Biodome Botanist

Biodome Botanist is a galactic rare zombie card in Plants vs. Zombies Heroes and a member of the Beastly class. He costs 2 to play, and has 2/3. He does not have any traits, and his ability makes a 1/1 plant on a chosen lane.


Due to the fact that his ability can make a 1/1 plant for the plant hero, his ability works only well when using a deck with Frenzy. Making a 1/1 plant in front of a Frenzy zombie can prevent the plant hero from playing a strong plant like Tough Beets in front of Frenzy zombies like Smashing Gargantuar.

You can also make a 1/1 plant in an empty lane to fill up your block meter more easily, despite taking a small amount of damage to your hero and this will also stress out opponents because their whole field is being clogged by useless 1/1 plants.

In addition, this can benefit well with Immorticia because this is a science zombie so it can be boosted by Zombot Drone Engineer and get a bonus attack from the Gadget Scientist.

You can also play the plant in front of Vimpire, Overstuffed Zombie or Arm Wrestler to boost them, or you could put down the plant in front of a Nurse Gargantuar to get extra health.

However, if there is Muscle Sprout on the field, do not play him unless the whol field is already filled with plants, as it will boost itself when he is played.
 
This zombie isn't as tough to defeat. Even if this zombie makes a free 1/1 plant for you, you want to be careful as the zombie hero can play Frenzy zombies in front of that plant; thus you cannot play a strong plant to stop it unless that plant has Team-Up. However, since the screen is filled with plants, you should take this as an advantage to play plants that gain an advantage from that like Mushroom Ringleader or Super-Phat Beets to pack a big punch. You can also play Muscle Sprout to make the zombie hero think twice before playing him.
